About

I believe the universal elements of love, mercy, healing, pain, and joy hold great potential to transform lives. What lead me into the counseling profession is a passion for helping people combined with the enduring knowledge that hope and change are available to every person.

My passion for human services lead me to Trevecca Nazarene University and pursuing a Masters in Marriage and Family Counseling.  I am licensed in the State of Tennessee as an MFT.  My previous counseling experience focused on assisting individuals, couples, and families as they navigate recovery from addiction.

Growing up in a small farm town in Pennsylvania helped me develop gratitude for the beauty of nature and the value of relationships. For the past 14 years, I have called Nashville my home and I have cultivated an appreciation for the many pleasures of southern living.

We all have different roles we play in life and our relationships, yet within all interactions, we adapt to others in our own unique way. The key is figuring out how to find balance and making healthy choices. How we connect with others and the quality of intimacy in our relationships is the key element that unifies all of my specialty trainings. Throughout my educational endeavors, I continue to seek tools that will assist my clients in achieving freedom from what limits them.

It is very important to find a counselor you are comfortable with and with whom you feel safe. My approach to working with clients focuses on:

• Collaboration

• Resiliency

• Trust

• Compassion

Respecting each person and honoring the essence of what it means to be human is the foundation of my counseling relationships. Integrating my personal style of honesty mixed with kindness enables me to engage authentically with my clients.

My journey has instilled in me the importance of meeting people where they are in a nonjudgmental and welcoming way. Each person is unique in their abilities and areas of desired change. Counseling needs to reflect the individuality of every client by embodying flexibility and care. Counseling assists in harnessing the potential and facilitates momentum in helping each person reach their goals.

It is an honor and a privilege to walk alongside individuals as they forge new paths in their mental health and relationships. The most treasured moment is when a person begins to embrace their authentic self and actualize their potential.
